October 2, 2009 “Surrogates”

Well I am a Bruce Willis fan.  Don`t really like to admit it, but I guess I am when I really think about it.  Part of it goes further than the tough guy image.  It is because he has been able to last with that image in the business for 20 years!  Coming from the days of “Moonlighting” when he appeared a whimp to me that is astounding.  I also like the fact that unlike the now defunct Harrison Ford he seems to challenge himself with a variety of roles, much like his partner in four films: Samuel Jackson. By the way I am certainly a fan of Jackson`s work and so I have seen three of those four: “Die Hard With a Vengeance”, “Pulp Fiction” and “Unbreakable.”  I have also seen:

Armageddon

The Seige

Story of Us

Fifth Element

Sixth Sense

Whole Nine Yards

Bandits

Tears of the Sun

Hence Surrogates is the thirteenth Willis movie I have seen.  I liked it, ignoring some cliched parts of script, and overall my thirteenth Bruce Willis movie wasn`t such an unlucky number after all.
